Luke Sevilla

Multi-sport competitor with a three-sport college recruiting focus.

Luke Sevilla is a 15-year-old Class of 2029 student-athlete at Gray Collegiate Academy in South Carolina. At 6' 1½" and 175 lbs, with a 4.7 40-yard dash and a right-handed athletic profile, Luke is building a college recruiting profile in football, wrestling and baseball. Boxing remains an important championship sport and cross-training discipline in his athletic development.

Luke’s sports background is broader than those primary recruiting tracks. From childhood through high school, he has competed in tackle football, flag football, passing league / 7-on-7, wrestling, boxing, Little League and travel baseball, basketball and early soccer. He has won or contributed to championships in wrestling, boxing, baseball, basketball, passing league, football leagues and youth football Super Bowls, along with skills-competition titles.

In football, Luke has played wide receiver, quarterback, running back, slot and defensive positions over different stages of his development. At Irmo Middle School, he was used as a featured running back, slot receiver and quarterback and accounted for the central share of offensive production. His public NCSA profile documents quarterback training with Perry Orth, John Bankhead and Kyle Crum. His football development also includes Turnbull Tuliaupupu, Solomon Tuliaupupu and Sivi Nomura among mentors and influences.

Wrestling has produced more than 300 career victories, multiple South Carolina state championships, All-American recognition and national-level tournament titles. Luke has competed in California, Nevada, Arizona, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, Georgia and South Carolina, with Irmo Middle School match film and earlier public profiles documenting extensive national-circuit competition. After missing the 2025 wrestling season because of injury, the 2026 training period marks his return to active athletic development. His wrestling development has included Steve Glassey — a 2026 California Chapter National Wrestling Hall of Fame inductee — Tommy Sevilla and multiple coaches and clinicians through clubs and camps.

Baseball has been a long-term part of Luke’s athletic identity. He has played catcher, pitcher, shortstop, first base and other positions; competed in Little League and travel ball; played in a travel-ball World Series; faced international/select competition including a Japanese world/select team; and later earned school-team recognition including Best Hitter and Defensive Player of the Year. Luke missed the 2025 baseball season because of injury. The late Major League Baseball veteran Lenny Randle was among his baseball mentors.

Luke began boxing young, won amateur boxing titles and has returned to boxing-specific training while continuing his high-school athletic pursuits. The 2026 football season and boxing comeback mark his return to active training and competition. His boxing development includes his father Tommy Sevilla, Felix Nance, Jesse Moreno, Armando Muniz, Herman Montes, Shelby Gross and Raul Lizarraga. Luke has spent time in the boxing community around champions and prominent figures including Virgil Hill, Fernando Vargas, Arnold Barboza Jr., Jamel Herring, Richard Torrez Jr. and Bob Arum.
